Blue ray DVDs?
so i was at best buy with a friend. i past by a sony tv (flat screen) with blue-ray player playing the movie Pirates of the carreabian (spelling?). the pictures was sooooo clear and smooth and i thought it was a documentary and it was actually the movie! i didnt have time to ask a staff memeber cause i was in a hurry but does any one know what kind of tv (LCD, Plasma, Projector) was? or what package (cables, tv, Blue ray player) can i get to get what i saw on display at the store? i try bestbuy.com but im not familiar with all the 480,720, 1080 numbers.
The system that you most likely saw was a fourty inch sony xbr4 LCD tv. with a sony BDP-s300 Blu Ray player hooked up to it with an HDMI cable. What i would recommend you get is a 1080P (currently the highest rez availible in the US) Plasma TV. Check out the ones from panasonic, Pioneer, and samsung. As well as the panasonic DMP-BD30K Blu ray player. The other thing you will want is a quaility HDMI cable. To take advantage of all the features your New system will offer try to find a cable capable of 10.2 GBPS the ones best buy carries are from monster and are good cables the other nice hdmi cable i would check out is from Tributaries cables which i have found to be better than monster. The best advice i can offer is for you to go into your local electronics retailer of choice. Attempt to take in the vast aray of sets and players that they have and choose the set and player that best fit your needs, hopefully with lots of help from their staff lol.
